About Trip -
Milke Danda Trek is one of the long and high forest ridge that divides the Arun and Tamur valley in the eastern Nepal which is very famous as a rhodo trek in Nepal, trek to Rhododedron forest in Nepal. We can start the trek from Basantapur or Tumlingtar and make a trek about 7 – 14 days up this ridge, which will offer the views of Makalu 8,463m to the west and Kanchenjunga 8,586 m. The third highest peak in the world to the Eastern Nepal. The Milke Danda ridge eventually ends in some high peaks, so we have to retrace our route back down Chainpur and ending the trek at Tumlingtar or Basantapur along the huge forests of rhododendrons through the ridge.
Milke Danda Trek is the popular area in Nepal, where we can see much different kind of flowers including the Nepal’s national flower rhododendrons. Exploring village people and their way of life, great Himalayan panorama including Mt Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjungha, beautiful blooms of different flowers including rhododendron. Will be the major highlights of this trek.
Outline Itinerary -
Day 01:Arrival at Kathmandu international airport and meet with representative from Pink Mountain Treks and Expedition. Then transfer to hotel.
Day 02:After breakfast proceed to guided tour with Pink Mountain Treks and Expedition to the heritage sites of Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered as World Heritage Sites; including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (Bouddhanath) which is one of the large Stupas in the world. In the afternoon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where you can meet our trek leader and other team members. Day 03:Drive from Kathmandu to Basantapur (2,200m) via Dharan
Day 04:Trek from Basantapur to Chauki (2,700m).
Day 05:Trek from Chauki to Ghupha Pokhari (2,930m).
Day 06:Trek from Gupha Pokhari to Milke Dada.
Day 07:Exploration around Milke Danda (3,124 m).
Day 08:Trek from Milke Danda to Bhalukhop.
Day 09:Trek from Bhalukhop to Jaljala.
Day 10:Trek from Jaljala to Chainpur.
Day 11:Trek from Chainpur to Phapung.
Day 12:Trek from Phapung to Tumlingtar.
Day 13:Flight from Tumlingtar to Kathmandu, evening farewell dinner by Pink Mountain Treks and Expedition in Typical Nepali Cousine.
Day 14:Your adventure in Nepal and Milke Danda Trek comes to an end today.If you have more time you can do some shopping or sightseeing. A representative from Pink Mountain Treks and Expedition will take you to the airport approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight.
