About Trip -

Nirekha Peak (6159m) is situated in the Mahalangur Region, deep in the Himalayas, close to the Tibetan border and hidden among the well-known giants of Everest, Cho Oyu, and Cholatse. The climb itself is relatively straightforward, though it does require ice-axe, crampons and some fixed rope sections. It is a very do-able climb for anyone in good shape and with a desire for high adventure.

Nirekha peak (6159m, 20,206ft.) is one of many newly opened Himalayan climbing and trekking peaks in Nepal. It is one of the most famous view points among all the peaks of Nepal.  From the view point, one will have  panoramic views of Himalayan peaks like Everest (8850), Nuptse (7879m), Lhotse (9501m), Lhotse Shar (8383m), Makalu (8475m), Baruntse (7720m), and Ama Dablam (6856m) Thamserku, Cho-oyu etc.

Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu International airport and meet with representative of Pink Mountain Treks and Expedition, then transfer to hotel.

Day 02:Kathmandu (1350m) sightseeing tour

Day 03:Fly to Lukla flight and Trek to Phakding from Lukla.

Day 04:Trek to Namche Bazaar from Phakding (3440 m).

Day 05:Trek to Dole (4040m)

Day 06:Trek to Machhermo (4150m)

Day 07:Trek to Gokyo (4750m)

Day 08:Trek from Gokyo to Gokyo Ri and return back to Gokyo.

Day 09:Trek from Gokyo to Thangana.

Day 10:Trek from Thangana to Nirekha Base Camp.

Day 11:Acclimatization at Nirekha Base Camp.

Day 12:Climb from Nirekha B.C upto High Camp.

Day 13:Climb from High camp to summit Nirekha, return back to High camp.

Day 14:Descent to Nirekha Base camp from High camp.

Day 15:Trek from Nireka B.C via Chola Pass to Zongla.

Day 16:Trek from Zongla to Gorakshep.

Day 17:Trek from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar and then return to Lobuche.

Day 18:Trek from Lobuche to Dingboche.

Day 19:Trek from Dingboche to Tyangboche.

Day 20:Trek from Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar.

Day 21:Trek from Namche Bazar to Lukla.

Day 22:Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu International airport and meet with representative of Pink Mountain Treks and Expedition, then transfer to hotel.

Day 2Kathmandu (1350m) sightseeing tourAfter breakfast, proceed to sightseeing tour to heritage sites of Kathmandu. Visit to Boudhanath stupa, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath Stupa and Kathmandu durbar square tour.

Day 3Fly to Lukla flight and Trek to Phakding from Lukla.Get 30min flight to Lukla and start trekking following a gentle climb up the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi. On the way trekking, we can see Nupla (5885m), Kusum Kang (6367m) and stop for lunch at Ghat and then continue trek to Phakding. This is an easy trekking today on well trekking trail, gradually up hill and downhill equal to flat trekking path.

Day 4Trek to Namche Bazaar from Phakding (3440 m).Phakding Namche Bazzar hiking is tougher than Lukla Phakding walking. The first part of the trek is less ups and downs to Lunch spot. Then the second part of trekking is tougher than first part. It is a 3 hours steep uphill trekking to Namche bazzar is surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges and opens out only where it faces the Bhote Koshi. The village is a central hub of Khumbu where you will have nice food, accommodation and trekking climbing equipment with internet café and bank.

Day 5Trek to Dole (4040m)This is six hours trekking to Dole, mostly uphill except the first 2 hours trekking trail to Sanasa. On the way trekking, you could see Thamserku, Kantega and Ama Dablam.

Day 6Trek to Machhermo (4150m)This is a five hours trekking on steadily climb trailalong the side of the valley where the small and thorny bushes give way to scrub juniper as the altitude increases. The trail passes many summer settlements, which are used when yaks are taken to these pastures to graze in the summer months. While trekking up on the trail there are excellent views of Cho Oyu, Kantega and Thamserku peak.

Day 7Trek to Gokyo (4750m)This is a short 4/5 hours waling to Gokyo Lake following scenic path mostly uphill. Gokyo Lake is known as Dudh pokhari, there is hotel settlement on the eastern shore of Gokyo Lake. The scenery is awesome with the reflection of Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang on the emerald lake Gokyo.

Day 8Trek from Gokyo to Gokyo Ri and return back to Gokyo.

Day 9Trek from Gokyo to Thangana.

Day 10Trek from Thangana to Nirekha Base Camp.

Day 11Acclimatization at Nirekha Base Camp.

Day 12Climb from Nirekha B.C upto High Camp.

Day 13Climb from High camp to summit Nirekha, return back to High camp.

Day 14Descent to Nirekha Base camp from High camp.

Day 15Trek from Nireka B.C via Chola Pass to Zongla.

Day 16Trek from Zongla to Gorakshep.

Day 17Trek from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar and then return to Lobuche.

Day 18Trek from Lobuche to Dingboche.

Day 19Trek from Dingboche to Tyangboche.

Day 20Trek from Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar.

Day 21Trek from Namche Bazar to Lukla.
